I started by taking a video of the first look since that was the chosen moment to be painted, capturing all the small sweet things. From that video, I took screenshots of the moments that I could paint for them and had them choose which one they wanted. Once that was chosen I set up my easel in the dedicated spot, this was a bit different than how I would do it for a wedding or event I am not a part of. I was called away to do pictures and get prepared for the ceremony, it was beautiful. When all the bridesmaid's duties were completed I was able to start the painting. Everyone who walked by had a lovely reaction and was so excited to see the painting live. I did what I could by the end of the reception at 8pm, the bride and groom were very happy with the progress and excited to see it completed.
This was a bit different then what I would do for a client. The biggest difference is that I would set up and start the base painting when I first get to the event spot, then I would capture the moment that the customer decided on and begin the live painting. Now every event will be slightly different but that is the baseline. For every painting, I would do the final touches and seal it in my studio the night of or the next day to ensure that the client gets the painting as soon as possible.
